Dr Tristan Johnson Skin Cancer Doctor

Dr Tristan Johnson graduated from Medical Sciences in 2007, and from a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery in 2009 with Honours from the University of Tasmania. He is a Fellow of The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), and has worked as a GP in Tasmania for a number of years.

A passion for skin cancer diagnosis and management lead to an Advanced Certificate in Dermatoscopy, followed by a Master’s Degree in Skin Cancer Medicine with Dean’s commendation from the University of Queensland. Over the past decade, he has practiced within private plastics clinics and hospital surgical lists to ascertain a very high standard of clinical and surgical competency, with a high caseload of skin cancer surgical work.

Today he holds a senior lecturer position within the University of Queensland and is a nominated lead clinical expert in review and support of Tasmania’s skin cancer surgical provision. He cares for a wide range of Tasmanians; receiving referrals from local and rural remote general practice, and specialists and offers his time to rural communities in Tasmania. Tristan is regularly involved in local surgical teaching for Tasmanian general practice registrars, now run by RACGP. Tristan is happy hosting local medical practitioners keen on upskilling in procedural skin cancer work and dermatoscopy by appointment. He is unable to take advanced skills registrars at this time.

Tristan is a Skin Cancer College of Australia accredited practitioner, and continues independent audit and continued professional development in the field of skin cancer medicine.

Outside of medicine, Tristan pursues landscape photography, furniture carpentry and is an enthusiastic mountain biker where time permits around three young children.

Dr Shaun Ewe General Practitioner

Dr Shaun Ewe has a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Medical Sciences with Honours (BMedSci) qualifications from the University of Tasmania, and a Masters of Medicine in Ophthalmology from the University of Sydney.

Dr Shaun spent seven years working in public hospitals across Tasmania, New South Wales and Victoria prior to returning to Tasmania to work as a General Practitioner. He gained well-rounded hospital clinical experience including in general medicine, surgery, ophthalmology, emergency medicine, paediatrics, and geriatric health. Dr Ewe enjoys all aspects of general practice, and provides a full range of health care to individuals of all ages.

Dr Shaun loves a good coffee , bushwalking and riding his electric skateboard during good weather.

Dr Arella Keir grew up in Tasmania and has completed her general practice fellowship here. She enjoys helping people to improve their lifestyle and health. Dr Arella is passionate about medical education and has interests in women’s health. Outside of work, she is busy with young children and enjoys getting outside to the beach and bush for exercise.

DR SARAH LOCKLEY IS ONLY SEEING HER OWN REGULAR PATIENTS

Dr Sarah Lockley studied at the University of Sydney and University of Newcastle and holds qualifications including Bachelor of Medical Science (BMedSci), Bachelor of Medicine (Hons), Fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners (FRACGP).

Dr Sarah relocated to Tasmania from Sydney in 2015. She grew up in country NSW and has worked in QLD, NT and NSW, including service in the Royal Australian Navy. She has a passion for general medicine, with special interests in diving and hyperbaric, military (including aviation), DVA and travel medicine.

Dr Sarah performs recreational and occupational diving medicals, and general occupational medicals. She is a current member of the Board of the Australian Diver Accreditation Scheme, and also the South Pacific Underwater Medicine Society Executive Committee.

Outside of work, Dr Sarah enjoys gardening, running, diving, art and learning to play classical piano.

Dr Sarah Yolland relocated to Tasmania with her husband and two young children. She has an interest in women’s health and children’s health, but enjoys all the varied aspects of general practice.

Dr Sarah likes getting to know her patients and enjoys holistic healthcare. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, trying to keep fit and exploring Tassie!

Dr Tristan Yolland is an experienced Skin Cancer Doctor with qualifications Bachelor of Medicine/Surgery (MBBS), Bachelor of Science (BSc), Master of Medicine (Skin Cancer), Master of Sports Medicine (MSpMed), Diploma of Child Health (DCH), Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP)

Originally from the Blue Mountains in NSW, Dr Tristan Yolland graduated from the University of Sydney then spent 8 years working in hospitals and in general practice in Newcastle before moving to Hobart.

Dr Yolland has an interest in skin cancer diagnosis and surgery, and is an accredited skin doctor with the Skin Cancer College Australasia. Dr Tristan Yolland is currently only practicing in skin checks/procedures, no General Practice.

In his spare time he enjoys triathlons, mountain biking and spending time with his young family.

Dr Ian Hoyle has over 29 years of medical experience. Over the last ten years, he has concentrated on the dermatology and aesthetic fields and has accumulated a wealth of experience and skills in these areas. With a Medical Degree from London University in 1986, he has postgraduate qualifications in Dermatology, Anaesthetics, Immediate Medical Care, Skin Cancer Medicine, General Practice and Rural Medicine.
